Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of Kerry Co-operative Creameries Ltd. is responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring good governance, and acting in the best interests of the Co-operative and its members.
Governance Structure
Kerry Co-operative Creameries Ltd. operates with a non-executive Board of Directors. The Board is supported by Company Secretary, Lorraine Mulvihill, who is the Co-operative's sole executive officer. The Company Secretary is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Co-operative, supporting the Board in fulfilling its statutory and governance responsibilities, and implementing the decisions of the Board.
Becoming a Director
To be eligible for election to the Board, an individual must:
• Be a Member of Kerry Co-operative Creameries Ltd.
• Be elected by members to their local Advisory Committee.
Once elected to an Advisory Committee, members of that committee elect representatives to serve on the Board of Directors. Directors are currently elected to serve a five-year term.
Kerry Co-op is represented by nine Advisory Committees across its operating region, ensuring that members have local representation in the governance of the Co-operative.
Following the Electoral Review completed in 2024, the size of the Board will reduce from 19 directors to 17 directors, strengthening governance while maintaining regional representation.
